    • Complete the BOMI Release Form: Fill out the BOMI release form and e-mail it to Janie Shallow at jshallow@houstonboma.org.
    • Submit the BOMI Education Progress Survey: This survey helps us identify the courses you've completed and plan future offerings to ensure you meet your educational goals and designation requirements. 

    Houston BOMA Course Policies

    • All fees must be paid before the beginning of class by either check or credit card. 
    • Course textbooks will not be ordered until payment is received. Notification will be sent to students when the course book is available. This is an accelerated review class, and students must review the materials before the class starts.
    • Students are responsible for scheduling their exam. BOMI will send an email with instructions approximately one week before the class begins.
    • Cancellations must be received in writing via e-mail. All cancellations received within seven (7) days of the class start date are nonrefundable. If the textbook has already been ordered when a cancellation request is submitted, an additional $56 cancellation fee will be assessed to cover the cost of the book.

While, on the surface, it may seem that managing industrial properties is similar to managing office or retail properties, the operational characteristics and unique needs of industrial tenants require real estate managers to develop a slightly different skill set. Managing Industrial Properties 101 (MIP 101) covers the basics of industrial property management.

    Created by Houston BOMA's knowledgeable members, BEM 101 gives building engineers a high-level overview of engineering best practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance, and goes beyond maintenance by providing students with a deeper understanding of all aspects of property management and effective communication skills that will help further their careers.

    The three-part course is held once a week for just three weeks, making it easier than ever to achieve professional development with minimal time away from work.
